What kurta should a man wear to a wedding?
For the main ceremony: a silk or brocade kurta in ivory, gold, maroon, navy or bottle green, with churidar or straight pants, and a Nehru jacket or bandhgala if you want it more formal. For haldi and mehendi: cotton or linen in yellow, mint or pastel prints. For the sangeet: a darker kurta with a velvet or embroidered jacket. Close family can wear a sherwani; guests usually stop at kurta and jacket so they do not outshine the groom.
