What should men wear to the office in India?

For most offices: solid or subtly patterned shirts (white, light blue, pale pink, grey), chinos or tailored trousers in navy, grey, beige or olive, a leather belt that matches the shoes, and loafers or derbies. In smart-casual offices, a polo or a plain knit tee with chinos works, and many offices welcome a cotton or linen kurta on Fridays. Fit is what makes it look expensive: shoulders that end at your shoulder, trousers that do not pool at the shoe.
